Reach a product from anywhere, then narrow the list to the question you are actually asking.

Quick search reaches everything
Open quick search from Search in the sidebar, from the search tab on a phone, with Ctrl/Cmd + K anywhere, or by pressing / while no field is focused. One box reaches products by name, SKU, or barcode, suppliers by name or contact, locations by name, every view, and the actions you use daily.
Matches are ranked so that a term at the start of a name beats one at the start of a word, which beats one in the middle. Choosing a product opens its page; Alt/Option + Enter opens its edit sheet instead. Typing or scanning a code that exactly matches a barcode or SKU wins over the ranked list, which is what makes the box work as a scanning target.
With an empty box it becomes a menu: the actions first, then the views. While a take-out basket is open, choosing a product adds one of it to the basket instead of opening its page.
Narrow the product list
The search box on the Products page matches a product’s name, SKU, barcode, category, and its shelf code at any location, ignoring case and accents. Alongside it, three pickers filter by location, supplier, and category.
A location filter means “what is at this place”: it matches anything holding stock there, plus anything that should hold some there because it has a minimum, plus products with nothing on hand anywhere whose home this is. The filters are kept in the page address, so a reload or a shared link opens the same list.
Ask a stock question with a chip

Archived products stay hidden unless the Archived chip is chosen. A product sold as a kit is judged on what its components allow, so it reads the same way everywhere: badge, chip, and page agree.
Sort by what you need to see
On a wide screen the list is a table with sortable Product, Cost, Qty, and Cover columns; choosing the same heading again reverses the order. Category, Location, Supplier, and Status complete the row, and the Location cell also carries the shelf code for the place it names.
Sorting follows the figure on screen rather than a stored one. A kit sold from components sorts on what those components allow, and a variant family sorts on the totals of the variants under it. Products the log cannot speak for sort last by cover, so ascending puts the shelves about to empty first.
Below roughly 900 pixels the same rows become cards, which is also what a phone sees. Printing always uses the table.
